Kathy's service was incredible, 5 stars to her! She's a kind & sweet person to talk to. Will always remember her as part of our first experience in Hawaii The food was as expected, nothing too special but would still come back for a burger & fries! I regret not trying the special milkshake.

Food: Burgers were moist and delicious! Also lovedddd the fries and the sushi burritos. My favorite item was the lychee milkshake!! Service: Ms Kathy was kind, sweet, took her time, and gave us extra love! She's a gem. Ambiance: The chickens outside freaked me out because they are aggressive about stealing food, so I wish I sat inside!

Heard about Kenji Burger on social media, bookmarked it and here we are! As soon as we walked in, we were warmly welcomed. The food arrived surprisingly fast, and we found a seating area in the back. And let me tell you, the burgers were simply amazing!

Good fresh seafood right by the sea right in Kapa'a. In my experience, it's a rare experience when what seems to be a moderate (in the definitive sense) amount of food fills you as well as it does and tastes out of this world as well. Or maybe it would be more appropiate to say that it works according to the proper way that REAL food should: filling you, tasting good, and being seemingly natural in origin. Each of my family members' meals were better than we were expecting and we came here already at the recommendation of a local tour guide a few days earlier who claimed that this was likely her favorite place. The food was delivered to us, which was a lovely cherry blossom on top of an already chill Sunday afternoon, and the locale was nice. It was clean, not too busy, and had easy parking. They also included a spray bottle on each table outside for warding off the locals (invading roosters and chickens) when they pressed their luck a bit much. They've clearly thought of it all and recieved a visit from Guy Fieri (and myself) in return.

From the moment we walked in the door, the staff are very friendly. The food is absolutely amazing. I had the Chicken Katsu burger it was delicious, and my hubby had the Hapa burger and he thinks it was the best burger he's ever tasted. You can dine inside or outside, we chose outside because Kauai is too beautiful to not eat outside. We're from Northern Idaho. So we are definitely loving the weather here and the food here at Kenji's. We actually went back the next day because of our total experience the evening before !!!

Great and friendly service with good tips on the food. Table had lobster burrito - stuffed full with a panko like coating ; kenji burger - very delicious, as good as u can make a burger; old skool burger - deliciously goopy ; lychee milkshake - delicious and creamy and not too tart ; Japanese katzu chicken bowl - light and good ; furikake fries - furikaken' delicious ; fried gyoza - best fried ever. Oh and Craig ended up with one degree of separation from our front of house help. Nice outside seating out back.

My girlfriend and I are spending a week in Kauai, soaking up paradise, and we stumbled across Kenji Burger in Kapaa. I was looking for something uniquely Kauai, but the name and rave reviews pulled us in--and boy, am I glad they did! We both ordered the Truffle Burger, hers with a veggie patty (she's the healthier half), mine with 100% Kauai grass-fed beef. This masterpiece features truffle aioli, Swiss cheese, organic Japanese mushrooms, and dreams. We paired them with Furikake Fries, which was a perfect match. Now, let me confess: I'm not technically a burger connoisseur. My friends and family might argue otherwise, but I'd say I'm just someone who passionately loves a good burger. And let me tell you, this burger might be THE ONE. You know, the burger you daydream about while eating other burgers. The bun? Perfectly buttered and toasted, delivering a symphony of soft, buttery goodness with just the right amount of crunch. The patty? Well-done yet somehow still moist and bursting with flavor. The melted Swiss? A palate-resetting hero that lets the truffle aioli and Japanese mushrooms shine. Every bite was a harmonious dance of textures and flavors that left me mystified and mildly emotional. Seriously, chef's kiss levels of excellence. And yes, I get it--we're in a tropical paradise. Maybe the lush Hawaiian paradise adds some sparkle to the taste buds. But I swear, if I were sitting at home in Colorado with a lineup of decent burgers, it would still swagger to the front of the burger lineup like it owns the place. It's THAT good. When we were done, my girlfriend imitated me and laughed as I gushed to the staff about my existential burger experience (shoutout to the cook who politely listened to my impassioned ramblings, gave me two thumbs up, and smiled). As we walked out, I was already calculating how many more visits I could squeeze into the rest of our trip. Kenji Burger, you've ruined all future burgers for me in the best possible way. If you're on Kauai, do yourself a favor: go, eat, and prepare to question every burger you've ever loved.

Came here for an early dinner to let the traffic lighten up. Kathy immediately greeted us with big hello and a smile! You can sit inside, in the front or in the back. We decided to sit outside since it can get warm inside. I normally get the Kenji Burger, but this time I went with the Truffle burger. I'd say it's pretty good but I like the Kenji burger more. Got the Furikake fries to go along with it. Very tasty if you like teri sauce and aioli. Overall everything was good. They have other things to try so if you're in Kauai I recommend you check them out!

We stumbled across this place after our date night was cut short because the restaurant was closed. We stopped by Kenji burger in Kapaa to grab a burger for our daughter who was back at the room. When we entered we were immediately greeted by Kathy, she was just fantastic! She answered our questions and to our surprise they even had vegetarian/vegan options, I would have never guessed! We ended up getting the burger and fries we came for but also left with two veggie "burritos", which are really veggie sushi rolls. They were amazing! They were so good we actually walked back and picked up a few more. They are complemented by some spicy wasabi and soy sauce. We were so happy we found this place!
